I am frantically working on digitizing the original Muppet Show Cast Album (which was released on Arista Records in 1977 and is long out of print). Here’s the first taste: Rowlf the Dog singing “Cottleston Pie.”
You’ll enjoy it, I’m sure.

Gang,
I’ve been relishing in a bit of a David Cronenberg movie-fest lately. It’s been fun, what with the freaky exploding heads, buggy Jeff Daniels, Christopher Walken, and all…
In any case, tonight I decided to watch “Scanners” again, and what to my wondering eyes should appear but a “Drums & Wires” promo flat on the wall of the record store through which the school bus crashes! You’ve got to love production designers who listen to XTC.
Check out the screenshot here:

Keep those requests for the demos comin’…

Yes, I got a new iMac today.
Here’s a picture of me with the box. The iMac’s internal camera took it. Ain’t that something?

Here’s a picture of me (in the puffy green jacket) trying to tag David out in snow kickball today:

Hah! I really took a digger that time, didn’t I?

Danny just sent me a great article about the Grammy awards barf-a-cast from Barry Saunders, a columnist for Danny’s local rag, The News/Observer out of Raleigh-Durham. I think you’ll enjoy the article; Danny says he agrees with it “1000%.”

I don’t post for weeks, and then we get three in two days…Making up for lost time, perhaps?
I just saw the video for Beck’s “Hell Yeah” on VH-1 Classic. Jesus, that’s a fantastic song. Dust Brothers are amazing. I heard “Hey Ladies” on XM the other day. I wish I could sample things and make my songs sound like that. Right now, I’m working on a new funky tune, but I need to wait until I get my Rhodes samples from samples4.com.
The kids did a talent show tonight. It was great. They crack me up sometimes.

John Relph, the moderator of Chalkhills, has nicely added a link to my site and to my XTC covers. I figured that, if people were going to download them, I should put links up on the front page. So here are the links:
“Battery Brides” (From “Chalkhills’ Children ‘96.” Recorded, mixed, performed, and produced by me and Robert Schaufelberger during my junior year at The Hotchkiss School, Lakeville, CT.)
“Everything” (Recorded in my bedroom on a four-track, 1996.)
“Making Plans for Nigel” (From “Chalkhills’ Children ‘98.” Recorded, mixed, performed, and produced by me and Robert Schaufelberger during my senior year at The Hotchkiss School and my freshman year at Bowdoin College.)
To listen to the rest of my tunes, click the link on the sidebar to your right. Enjoy!

Of course Morrissey has a MySpace page. Eeeew. MySpace is creepy.
In any case, I’ve made an MP3 of “You Have Killed Me,” the upcoming single from his upcoming album, Ringleader of the Tormentors. I don’t know if I like it yet, but I certainly don’t love it like I love “I Have Forgiven Jesus” or “Suedehead.” Hmmm.

Jesus, the Grammy Awards last night were awful, weren’t they? Kelly Clarkson winning over Fiona Apple? Chris Martin unable to hit any of the high notes? Mariah Carey sounding like Marianne Faithfull after two packs of Pall Malls and three shots of bourbon? Sly “playing” the Triton?
U2’s performance was fantastic, as always; they’re just great musicians. And I thought that Keith Urban and Faith Hill had the best performance of the evening. No one missed a step. The Sly tribute was embarrassing, but that wasn’t Nile Rogers’s fault. (Did you see him up there?! He looked great!) I didn’t stay up to watch any more after that. I was too depressed.
John Legend is a nobody. Kelly Clarkson has no right to use Bonnie Raitt’s name in a sentence. That should’ve been Jason Falkner playing with Paul McCartney. Can you tell I’m bitter?
