Here I am, back at Choate again for summer #7. Quite something, ain’t it? I got a nice and unexpected surprise today: I was awarded a Summer Teaching Chair for exceptional teaching and service to Choate. I get a nice stipend to go with it. Sweet, eh? My friend Kari shared the award with me, which is awesome. She’s the greatest.
Anyway, that’s that. More later. Right now, I need to head for the opening dinner. That shrimp goes fast!

I am still alive. Seriously. It’s just been a long few weeks.
Let’s recap for the uninitiated:
1) School #1 ended, and School #2 doesn’t begin until June 23rd.
2) I spent two days in Groton Long Point, CT, where the cool folks go.
3) I am currently resting and relaxing in New Jersey. I will soon be resting and relaxing in Massachusetts. Then I’m off to Choate (see #1).
4) I just bought a footstool for my Poang chair at Ikea in Paramus. No, I didn’t go to Paramus Park. Don’t be a dingbat.
So that’s the buzz. More later as events warrant.
